So, I have been thinking about porn a bit. (If you happened by this site at the right/wrong time you’ll know why - I got hacked)

Anyway as long as I can recall knowing anything about porn I have heard that it is degrading to women. Never much thought about it, accepted that as truth. But now that I have actually bothered to think it over I am not convinced.

Its like this:

• Girl takes off some (or all) clothes, gets pictures taken, collects money, goes on her way.
• Boy: Pays for pictures, ooggles, wishes and whatever.

(ok I know there is male porn too but thats a whole different can of worms)

Anyway, which of them is being degraded?

There are no easy answers, but its worth taking a long hard look at all those truths you were once very sure of, for perhaps no really good reason.

Couple warned for feeding birds in their garden

The council acted after a neighbour complained that the Dunny’s nature-loving ways were attracting birds, and therefore mess to their pretty rural village.

I guess we have all occasionally gotten a bit annoyed with the activities of a neighbor. Loud music at 3am (when they didn’t invite us to the party), maybe a dog that barks a bit too much or a tree that dumps all its fall leaves in our yard. But feeding the birds? Oh what a horror!

On the other side of that issue one of my neighbors decided it was time to remove some concrete. After 4 or 5 hours of listening to him attempt to use a jackhammer my boyfriend figured the poor guy must be getting hungry. He offered him a couple of nice eggs, a slightly squishy potato found in the bottom of the fridge and a nice plastic bag of water to wash it all down. I am sure it was appreciated because the man took a nice break from using the jackhammer.
